Chris J. passes bubbling creeks and prarie dogs – #bikespiration

For Colorado Bike Month, Smart Commute is sharing short inspirations from real people about why they bike to work now, or why they biked to work at a previous position.

Today’s bike-spiration is from Chris J. who is with Tri-State Generation and Transmission, and regrets the days he has to drive to work instead of bike.

“My bike-spiration comes from the peaceful and relaxing bike to work that I try to enjoy as often as possible. It is a much nicer way to start my day than sitting in traffic. I bike to work on mostly dedicated multi-use trails or bike paths. I pass bubbling creeks, fields of prairie dogs, wetland areas, all the while getting an amazing view of the Front Range Mountains. I arrive at my desk motivated and ready to work having already accomplished something that morning. Now every time I drive into work I wonder why I didn’t ride the bike. “

Chris crafted an excellent bike-haiku (bi-ku!) to share:

bike riding from work
