Rachel A. saw the city wake up biking to work – #bikespiration

For Colorado Bike Month, Smart Commute is sharing short inspirations from real people about why they bike to work now, or why they biked to work at a previous position.

Today’s bike-spiration is from Rachel A. who works at Felsburg Holt & Ullevig and hopes to bike to work again soon.

“When I worked downtown, I loved biking to work and seeing the city wake up in the morning. The crisp Colorado morning air was refreshing. The ride home gave me a chance to unwind from the days work and arrive at home knowing I challenged myself mentally and physically each day. The main reason I am looking to move closer to my new job is so I can experience these feelings of accomplishment each day again commuting by bike.”

Rachel crafted an excellent bike-haiku (bi-ku!) to share:

helmet, lunch, laptop
breathe in the crisp morning air
return home refreshed
